Milling belongs all along to the most important cutting working methods. PWS Praezisionswerkzeuge GmbH possesses more than 50 years of experience with the manufacturing of gear cutting tools and milling cutters. We produce tools which are known for precision, surface quality and stability. PWS solves customer-specific problems with modern construction- and production technologies concerning gearing and milling. The Blue Chip® hob ist a self-developed and new type of milling cutter. With environmental dry processing and optimal production consistency it offers a new dimension of hobbing. High alloy steels together with the new super hard coating provide the unproblematic regrinding and recoating of the milling cutter.

The PWS history started in 1943 when the company developed from a spinning mill of Schmoelln. At that time they began manufacturing twist drills, milling cutters, reamers and cutting dies. Within the framework of uniting state-owned companies, they specialized in producing milling cutters and gear cutting tools in 1960. Since 1997 the company is independent. Since that time, the company development takes a positive course and achieves increasing turnovers. |

Many milling and gearing problems are very special. Custom-built machinery is necessary; instinct and professional skills are requested. The PWS offers a professional fulfillment of these problems, such as problems of the automobile manufacturing, where complicated transmission tooth wheels are milled. The particular power of the company consists in the realization of drawing-controlled tools.
